PSI is a fully integrated service company that has provided rapid and effective engineering solutions to our clients since 1994. As an industrial engineering firm, we provide services and support for gathering, transmission, delivery, and distribution companies associated with the oil, gas, and water industries.
PSI provides project management, engineering and design, drafting, construction management, operations and maintenance, and corrosion and integrity support. Our company infrastructure allows us to offer many other value-added services, such as procurement, drafting, bid assistance, survey/GIS services, feasibility reviews, and Right of Way/Easement investigations.
Summary
PSI’s summer internship program is designed to provide an introduction to the oil and gas industry, experience in a working environment, and meaningful work assignments. The interns will work with an experienced mentor on an assigned project and other miscellaneous tasks which will provide excellent learning opportunities while contributing to PSI in an impactful way.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations to assist in designing pipelines and facilities.
- Develop documents, drawings and visual aids for client deliverables.
- Learn and utilize engineering judgment to problem solve.
- Read and analyze codes and standards applicable to calculations and designs.
- Prepare presentation for management and peers at summer’s end.
- Develop testing and operating procedures for pipelines and facilities.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years completed towards earning a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Specific coursework completion such as Thermodynamics and Fluids is required.
- Experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

Pay Range
$18 – 20 / hour
Work Hours
- Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and occasional nights and weekends.
- Overtime occasionally required and expected, often on short notice.
Work Location
- 75% in office
- 25% travel as needed
