PSI is capable of supplying additional engineering and field advisory services related to any project a client might be undertaking. We can supply highly qualified and experienced inspectors to meet project needs in any field within the oil, gas, and water industries including welding, corrosion, environmental, and facility construction.
Inspectors typically have 30+ years of industry experience and help ensure that a client’s company standards, safety practices, design and procedures are adhered to.
In addition, PSI has highly trained project engineers and project managers who can increase project efficiency and ensure scope, cost, and scheduling demands are met. Our engineering and field advisory services can be tailored to fulfill a specific task within a project or function as a full service operation.
PSI provides a full spectrum of services to help clients plan and manage upcoming projects from start to finish, in a cost effective manner without sacrificing quality. With a long history of initiating, planning, and executing projects, PSI is equipped to take on many different roles and provide a broad range of services including:
PSI provides many non-project specific services which are related to general business development activities of energy companies. Such services are often used during the evaluation and planning stages, before a concept is approved and becomes a project.
PSI utilizes Oracle’s Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project for project scheduling and tracking purposes. We have a full time scheduling team that assists project managers in determining available resources and developing a workable project schedule. When a task order is received, PSI will develop a specific schedule to match the needs of that project.
The general project schedule will follow the template listed below:
PSI is experienced in tracking and reporting progress to overall work completion. PSI implements each specific client’s tracking and reporting process. If a client does not have a system in place, PSI works with the client to develop a system that works effectively for both the client and the specific project.
PSI constructs project schedules for clients from the “ground up”
PSI will initially assist by providing a high level schedule early in the project development. The high level schedule focuses on critical path items which typically consist of permitting and long lead item design and procurement. Once the initial critical path is identified the remainder of the schedule is developed and refined accordingly. After the project progresses past the development phase then a detailed, resource loaded schedule is provided.
PSI provides timely progress reports based on a detailed project schedule.
We provide information on potential impediments such as issues with contractors or survey companies. We include milestones suggested by the client for measurement purposes to enable determination of project deliverable date changes.
PSI can build construction schedules for clients who do not maintain an in-house scheduling team.
This helps clients hold contractors to agreed schedules and identify possible date changes before they become problematic. Building “what-if” schedules can ensure projects are finished successfully and on time.
PSI manages in-house schedules for all active projects.
This allows us to manage resource allocation as well as ensure that our employee’s time and skills are maximized.
PSI has extensive experience collaborating with our valued clients in all aspects of proper design and implementation as required by federal, state, and local regulations as well as individual company procedures and practices.
